General Summary

The Esthetician provides professional skincare and wellness services to Houston Country Club Members and their guests while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, sanitation, and client care.
Scope of Services
The Esthetician is engaged to provide professional esthetic services including, but not limited to:
  • Customized facials
  • Anti-aging treatments
  • Specialty facial treatments
  • Chemical peels (within scope of licensure)
  • Waxing and hair removal services
  • Scalp and skincare treatments
  • Professional skincare consultations
  • Skin analysis and treatment recommendations
  • Education regarding skincare routines, products, and wellness practices
  • Retail product recommendations, when appropriate

The Esthetician is expected to:
  • Deliver exceptional service to Members and guests in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Maintain treatment rooms in a clean, sanitary, organized, and professional condition.
  • Follow all applicable sanitation, infection control, and Texas licensing requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential Member treatment records.
  • Ensure treatment areas remain properly stocked with supplies needed to perform services.
  • Input independent billing processes
  • Independent invoice submission per the appropriate billing cycle deadlines
  • Inspect equipment prior to use and notify the Fitness Director of maintenance concerns affecting the treatment room or Club-owned equipment.
  • Build positive relationships with Members through excellent customer service.
  • Participate in Club wellness promotions or Member events by mutual agreement with the Fitness Director.
  • Collaborate professionally with other wellness providers operating within the Club.
  • Maintain current knowledge of skincare products, treatment techniques, and industry developments through continuing education.
  • Promptly report safety concerns, accidents, or Member incidents occurring on Club property.

Requirements
Professional Qualifications
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Minimum of five (5) years of professional esthetic experience required.
• Experience in a luxury spa, resort, private club, or hospitality environment preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of skincare products, ingredients, treatment protocols, and contraindications.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Retail sales experience with professional skincare products preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Licensing Requirements
The Contractor shall maintain:
• Current Texas Esthetician License.
• CPR/AED certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Any other licenses or certifications required by applicable law.
The Contractor is solely responsible for maintaining all required professional licenses and certifications throughout the term of the agreement.
Contractor Requirements
• Maintain professional liability insurance as required by the Contractor Agreement.
• Provide services in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding Member information and treatment records.
• Conduct business in a professional, ethical, and respectful manner.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance appropriate for a luxury private club environment.
• Comply with Club safety, security, and Member service standards while on Club property.
• Complete drug test and background checks as required by the Contractor Agreement.
Scheduling
Service hours shall be coordinated between the Contractor and the Fitness Director based upon Member demand and treatment room availability.
Because Member demand may fluctuate, availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays is encouraged, but services are provided according to the mutually agreed-upon schedule established between the Contractor and the Club.
Contractor agrees to:

- Father's Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Mother's Day
- Demonstrating kindness, professionalism, and respect toward Members, guests, and fellow employees.
- Coordinating schedules with the Fitness Director.
- Client roster and schedule transparency required
Dress Code
Uniform and professional grooming standards are required and maintained in accordance with Houston Country Club policies.
Safety and Sanitation:
The Contractor is responsible for:
• Following all sanitation, infection control, and safety procedures required by state licensing regulations and Houston Country Club policies.
• Maintaining a safe environment for Members, guests, and fellow employees.
• Immediately reporting unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions, accidents, or injuries to management.
• Properly handling and storing all professional skincare products and chemicals according to manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
Working Environment
The Contractor should expect:
• Work is performed in a luxury spa and wellness environment serving Houston Country Club Members and guests.
• Ability to work for extended periods while standing and walking.
• Frequent exposure to skincare products, fragrances, disinfectants, and cleaning solutions.
• Climate-controlled indoor work environment.
• Frequent interaction with Members, guests, and fellow employees throughout the workday.
Physical Requirements
The Contractor should be able to:
• Stand, walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, perform repetitive hand movements and/or sit up to 12 hours per day.
• Communicate effectively with Members and staff.
• Posses sufficient vision and manual dexterity to safely perform esthetic services.
• Must be able to push, pull or lift to approximately 40 lbs.
