Our busy company is seeking an experienced construction site work estimator to join our team of construction professionals. We need someone with strong math skills and excellent communication skills to write proposals, cost estimates, and detailed takeoffs on our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in estimating or project management with site work-specific experience.

Responsibilities
โ€ข Prepare detailed site work takeoffs and estimates.
โ€ข Including earthwork, utilities, storm, paving, curb, demo, erosion control, and associated trucking/logistics.
โ€ข Analyze plans, specs, and site conditions to identify risk.
โ€ข Proactively flag constructability issues, scope gaps, access constraints, soil concerns, and schedule risks prior to bidding.
โ€ข Develop competitive pricing strategies.
โ€ข Adjust pricing based on project size, GC history, market conditions, schedule demands, and internal capacity.
โ€ข Assemble clear, professional bid packages.
โ€ข Including inclusions/exclusions, alternates, unit pricing, and clarifications that protect scope and margin.
โ€ข Support pre-construction and change management.
โ€ข Participate in job handoff meetings and assist operations with quantity verification, change orders, and scope clarification.
Qualifications
โ€ข 3+ years of estimating experience in site work or civil construction.
โ€ข (Earthwork, utilities, paving, or site development required - vertical only experience not sufficient.)
โ€ข Strong understanding of site construction means methods.
โ€ข Ability to think through how the job will actually be built, not just measured.
โ€ข Proficiency with estimating software and digital takeoffs.
โ€ข Experience with platforms such as ConstructConnect, Bluebeam, Planswift, or similar.
โ€ข Close attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
โ€ข Able to manage multiple bids, deadlines, and revisions without missing scope.
