Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and proactive General Field Technician to support our luxury residential construction projects. This field-based role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in keeping jobsites organized and safe, and is willing to assist wherever needed. The position supports jobsite cleanliness, material handling, traffic control, demolition, storm preparation, basic rough carpentry, safety activities, and project punch-out work under the direction of the Project Superintendent.


What You’ll Do

  • Maintain clean, organized jobsites by removing debris, sweeping work areas, protecting finish materials, and properly stacking usable materials.
  • Assist with warehouse cleanliness and open/close project entry gates as required.
  • Receive, check, inventory, move, and retrieve construction materials, including materials stored offsite.
  • Assist with parking and traffic control for trades, suppliers, and material deliveries in accordance with project and municipal requirements.
  • Perform demolition work, including possible concrete removal, under the supervision of the Project Superintendent.
  • Assist with storm preparation, post-storm assessment, and cleanup/remediation as directed.
  • Support jobsite safety by replacing damaged barriers or guardrails, reporting unsafe conditions, and checking first-aid kits, fire extinguishers, and other safety equipment.
  • Assist finish carpenters and perform rough or entry-level carpentry tasks as needed.
  • Maintain professional working relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and other team members.
  • Assist with client punch-out and move-in orientation items, with a goal of completing assigned items within 14 days of orientation.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and be available for overtime or weekend work when project needs require it.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills, honesty, integrity, and a positive team-oriented attitude.
  • Initiative to recognize and complete needed tasks without waiting to be told.
  • Ability to work on active construction jobsites in varying weather conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.
  • Must possess basic hand tools.
  • Must own a smartphone and be willing to use work-related mobile applications.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred/required per company policy.
  • OSHA 10-Hour Certification, or ability to earn the certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Luxury residential construction or carpentry experience is a plus.


Work Environment

Work is performed primarily on active construction projects and may involve elevated noise, heat, humidity, unfiltered air, wet or muddy surfaces, and other typical construction-site conditions.


Physical Requirements

The role may require climbing ladders up to 24 feet, crawling distances up to 50 feet, lifting and handling objects up to 80 pounds, carrying materials up to 50 feet, and occasional trenching or shovel work.
