Aircraft Composite Lay-Up Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Composite Lay-Up Technician to build aircraft structural components using carbon fiber materials and composite manufacturing processes. This role is ideal for candidates with composite lay-up, vacuum bagging, or aerospace manufacturing experience who take pride in producing high-quality parts.

Responsibilities:
  • Lay up carbon fiber materials according to engineering drawings and work instructions
  • Perform vacuum bagging on composite parts prior to autoclave processing
  • Build aircraft structural components to quality specifications
  • Track and document materials used during production
  • Inspect materials and tooling for defects
  • Read and follow blueprints, work orders, and engineering prints
  • Use hand tools and support assembly and inspection activities
  • Maintain quality standards while meeting production goals
  • Handle materials safely and maintain a clean work area
Requirements:
  • Experience with composite lay-up and carbon fiber materials
  • Vacuum bagging experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Manufacturing, assembly, inspection, or aerospace production experience
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with MRP systems or manufacturing software
  • Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing processes
  • Comfortable using hand tools and computers

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
