Job description

STS Technical Services is hiring Aircraft Composite Technicians in Waco, Texas.
Position Summary
STS Technical Services is seeking experienced Aircraft Composite Technicians to support aircraft maintenance and repair operations in Waco, Texas. This role supports composite fabrication, structural repair, and assembly work within an FAA-regulated aerospace maintenance environment.
You will work closely with Aircraft Leads, Maintenance Supervisors, and the Director of Maintenance to ensure all composite work is completed in accordance with approved technical data, customer requirements, and FAA regulations.
Job Responsibilities
  • Comply with FAA, DOT, FAR, DFARs, and applicable CFR Part 14 requirements
  • Participate in and successfully complete FAA and DOT drug and alcohol testing programs, including random testing
  • Research and interpret technical data, maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, and work instructions
  • Fabricate composite aircraft parts, accessories, and trim components using approved methods and procedures
  • Cut fiberglass, Kevlar, and graphite materials using templates, blueprints, and appropriate tools
  • Label materials and prepare composite kits for laminating processes
  • Perform vacuum bagging operations including setup of bleeder cloths, probes, thermocouples, and vacuum connections
  • Verify vacuum integrity and perform leak checks prior to curing
  • Trim, drill, deburr, grind, sand, and finish cured composite parts to specification
  • Pre-fit and assemble composite components into assemblies and subassemblies using jigs, fixtures, and fasteners
  • Perform cold and hot metal bonding as required

Qualifications
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Experience performing composite fabrication and repair in an aerospace environment
  • Familiarity with FAA-regulated maintenance practices
  • A&P Certification preferred but not required
