Resicum International LLC is seeking an experienced F/A-18 Aircraft Technical Directive (TD) Manager to support organizational-level maintenance operations for the U.S. Navy's VFC-12 squadron at Naval Air Station Oceana, Virginia.

The Aircraft Technical Directive (TD) Manager serves as the primary authority for planning, tracking, coordinating, and documenting Technical Directive (TD) compliance for assigned F/A-18 aircraft. This position plays a critical role in aircraft configuration management by ensuring all applicable Technical Directives are incorporated in accordance with Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) requirements while maintaining maximum aircraft readiness and mission capability.

Position Summary

The F/A-18 Aircraft Technical Directive (TD) Manager is responsible for managing the execution and documentation of Technical Directives affecting assigned aircraft. The position coordinates with Maintenance Control, Quality Assurance, Production Control, Supply, and Government leadership to ensure timely incorporation of Technical Directives while maintaining accurate aircraft configuration records and maintenance planning documentation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage the implementation and incorporation of Technical Directives (TDs) for assigned F/A-18 aircraft.
  • Track Technical Directive compliance and maintain accurate status records.
  • Coordinate scheduled TD incorporation with Maintenance Control, Production Control, and Quality Assurance.
  • Maintain aircraft configuration records and ensure documentation accuracy.
  • Review Technical Directives, engineering changes, maintenance publications, and technical manuals.
  • Develop and maintain maintenance planning documentation related to TD implementation.
  • Monitor aircraft availability and coordinate maintenance scheduling to minimize operational impact.
  • Provide Technical Directive status reports and compliance updates to Government leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) requirements and applicable Navy maintenance instructions.
  • Coordinate with Supply and Maintenance Material Control personnel to ensure required parts and materials are available.
  • Identify overdue or pending Technical Directives and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain electronic and hard-copy maintenance records in accordance with Navy documentation requirements.
  • Support Quality Assurance inspections and maintenance audits.
  • Assist with surge operations and contingency maintenance requirements as needed.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions.
  • Ability to climb ladders, aircraft stands, and maintenance platforms.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work for extended periods.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

Job Requirements
  • Minimum of five (5) years of organizational-level aircraft maintenance experience on F/A-18 aircraft or comparable tactical military aircraft.
  • Demonstrated experience managing, tracking, or coordinating Aircraft Technical Directives (TDs), Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs), or equivalent aircraft modification programs.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) and Navy maintenance documentation procedures.
  • Experience with aircraft configuration management, maintenance planning, and compliance tracking.
  • Ability to interpret technical publications, engineering drawings, maintenance directives, and engineering changes.
  • Experience coordinating with Maintenance Control, Production Control, Quality Assurance, and Supply personnel.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency using Navy maintenance documentation systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to prepare reports and provide status updates to Government and contractor leadership.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime, and temporary duty assignments as mission requirements dictate.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required installation access credentials.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Former U.S. Navy or U.S. Marine Corps F/A-18 Maintenance Control Chief.
  • Former Production Control or Maintenance Material Control (MMCO) experience.
  • Previous experience managing Technical Directives or aircraft configuration management programs.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
  • Previous experience supporting Department of Defense aviation maintenance contracts.
