CNA Training Program - Learn While You Earn!
Start your healthcare career with paid CNA training at UMC (United Methodist Communities) at The Shores, in Ocean City, NJ.
This full-time program lets you earn while you learn, gaining hands-on experience while working as a CNA In-Training and preparing for your CNA certification.
Program Details/Highlights:
  • Interviews begin: June 2026
  • Training class begins: July 2026
  • Paid Training: $17/hour during the training program
  • $20.00/hour upon successful certification
  • Limited Spots Available - 100% attendance required
Upon successful completion of training and CNA certification, candidates will be offered full-time employment on an evening or night shift (based on availability).
Requirements for CNA Training:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to attend all scheduled classes
  • Commitment to full-time employment with UMC after certification (evenings or nights)
  • Strong attendance, reliability, and punctuality
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • A genuine passion for working with older adults and providing direct care
What you'll do as a CNA at The Shores:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the daily lives of residents by:
  • Providing personal care based on individualized care plans
  • Performing skin checks and reporting changes promptly
  • Taking and recording vital signs and weights
  • Assisting with meals, mobility, adaptive equipment, and restorative care
  • Observing and reporting changes in resident condition
  • Accurately documenting care in our point-of-care system
  • Participating in interdisciplinary care planning
  • Supporting resident independence and quality of life
