This is a hybrid position that requires regular in-office work. Candidates must reside in the greater Vancouver-Portland metropolitan area.
POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Bookkeeping Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial records of 8-12 Audigy bookkeeping members. In this role, you will manage daily financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in monthly financial reporting. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will help our members make informed business decisions based on reliable reporting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:

  • Ensure accurate and timely recognition of income and expenses in accordance with accounting standards
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including data entry, tracking, and reporting
  • Perform weekly and monthly balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies proactively
  • Deliver clear, timely, and insightful financial updates to members, their teams, and Strategic Business Unit (SBU) stakeholders
  • Support implementation and optimization of the Office Management System (OMS), including setup and account mapping
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, preparing and posting monthly and year-end journal entries
  • Prepare year-end financials and coordinate with members' CPAs, including processing adjusting entries upon return
  • Partner with the SBU Finance Manager to support financial analysis, reporting, and ad hoc inquiries

CAPABILITIES:
  • Demonstrated foundational to intermediate understanding of accounting and finance principles
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to accurately follow detailed and customized instructions
  • Willingness and capability to quickly learn and adapt to new software applications
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and sustain positive client relationships
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with hands-on experience in accounting software; strong computer skills required.
  • Minimum of two years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a fast-paced or client-focused environment

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
  • Work in office is required, with hybrid work permitted based on business needs
  • This is a full-time role Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers, which can cause muscle strain. This position will also have to do some lifting of supplies and materials from time to time.
