This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of our Phoenix office.

Silicon Valley Bank’s Global Fund Banking (GFB) Team provides commercial banking services to venture capital and private equity firms.

The Relationship Advisor II manages a portfolio of borrowing and non-borrowing clients and is responsible for client onboarding, case management, servicing and proactive client solutions.

As a key member of Relationship Management, the RA II plays an integral role in the client experience by supporting deposits, payments, and daily cash management needs while ensuring compliance and service excellence.


Responsibilities
  • Client Onboarding & Servicing
    • Partners with relationship team to support client onboarding and lifecycle needs
    • Manages client requests through CRM, ensuring timely acknowledgement and resolution in line with service-level standards
    • Supports clients with payment operations (wires, ACH, BillPay), including urgent escalations in partnership with Fraud and Sanctions teams
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Coordinates with Operations, Fraud, Sanctions, FX, and Product teams to resolve issues
    • Advises clients on risk mitigations strategies to prevent money laundering and fraud
  • Proactive Client Support
    • Identifies opportunities based on client, stage, or activity, partnering with Relationship Managers for proactive touchpoints

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of client service experience in banking/financial/investor services role, OR High School/GED with 5 years of experience.

Preferred Skills

  • Client service or client support experience in financial services and products
  • Strong familiarity with banking products and payment operations
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks in succession
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
