Job description

West Tire and Auto Repair is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. This independent role focuses on servicing passenger cars, light trucks, and SUVs using advanced diagnostic software and OBD-II scanners. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong work ethic and proficiency in vehicle diagnostics and repairs to maintain top safety and performance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform vehicle diagnostics using advanced software and OBD-II scanners
  • Conduct engine repairs and brake system maintenance
  • Handle routine vehicle maintenance including oil changes and fluid checks
  • Repair and maintain electrical and suspension systems
  • Install and balance tires
  • Replace worn or damaged parts as needed
  • Perform thorough safety inspections and troubleshooting

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in automotive repair
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and engine repair
  • Knowledge of brake maintenance and electrical system repair

Company Description

We are looking for an Automotive Technician to join our team or as we like to call it our family. Here at West Tire and Auto Repair we pride ourselves on the family atmosphere so much so that we put it on our sign. (We Treat You Like Family!) We open Monday through Friday 8-5 as weekends are for families.
The position we are looking to fill is for a Automotive Technician and requires that you know how to do oil changes, tires and understand basic automotive systems.. We supply diagnostic tools and most specialty tools for the odd jobs that may arise. Pay is commision based. We offer paid vacation after the first year. The work is here just need good help to get them done as we currently are having to schedule out weeks at a time.
You will be responsible for repairing various makes and models along with the daily operations of working in a fast paced mechanic shop.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine vehicle maintenance
Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components
Perform quality inspections prior to returning the vehicle to the customer
MUST BE ON TIME AND DEPENDABLE
Qualifications:
Previous experience in automotive.
Knowledge of shop equipment
Deadline and detail-oriented
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
