Position Title: Accountant

Location: Hybrid with 3 days in the Arlington, VA Office

Other Considerations: U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Required)

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an Accountant to join our team supporting Sprezzatura' s Corporate Accounting and Finance Department. In this role we are seeking a motivated accounting professional who would help us enter our day-to-day accounting transactions and help us complete our monthly close process with a high level of accuracy. You should be proactive and willing to grow with our team. You will use your GAAP knowledge to record transactions and use their logic and reasoning to analyze the data to ensure accuracy. Adaptability to new processes and systems would come in handy along with expertise with Microsoft excel and Unanet or Cost Point.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cash receipts, collections review, and analysis
  • Recording financial transactions of the company via journal entries on a day-to-day basis
  • Assist with month-end close
  • Assist with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll
  • Review of financials
  • Balance Sheet reconciliation/Bank reconciliation
  • Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations
  • Review Expense Report Submissions
  • New Hire setup in Unanet

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • 3 to 5 Years of Experience in Corporate Accounting department desired if the experience is in a federal government contracting organization
  • Strong grasp of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Attention to Detail for transaction entry
  • Proficient in Microsoft excel skills and reconciliations
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Team player with an affinity to learn and pick up new skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and communicate effectively with them
  • Adaptability to changing technologies and requirements
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development

WORKING CONDITIONS

Standard Business hours are Monday through Friday. Occasional extended or weekend hours may be required based on operational needs. Travel may be required from time to time for customer meeting and industry events.
