Job description

Role Overview:
This role is for a dedicated Jira Administrator responsible for the comprehensive administration and support of Atlassian platforms, including Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence. The administrator will ensure optimal configuration, performance, and integration of these critical tools within the enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and support Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence platforms.
  • Configure and maintain projects, workflows, issue types, screens, custom fields, schemes, and permissions.
  • Manage user access, groups, roles, and security configurations.
  • Design and implement workflow automation to improve operational efficiency.
  • Configure service requests, incident, problem, and change management processes in JSM.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, filters, and KPIs for stakeholders.
  • Integrate Jira with enterprise applications such as Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, AD/SSO, Microsoft Teams, and other business tools.
  • Install, configure, and administer Atlassian Marketplace applications.
  • Perform platform upgrades, patch management, backup, and recovery activities.
  • Troubleshoot platform issues and coordinate with Atlassian support when required.
  • Define governance standards, naming conventions, and best practices across Atlassian tools.
  • Create technical documentation, knowledge articles, and user guides.
  • Support Agile teams in project setup, sprint management, and process optimization.

Required Skills:
  • Proficiency in administering Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence.
  • Experience with configuring projects, workflows, issue types, and permissions.
  • Ability to manage user access, groups, roles, and security.
  • Skills in designing and implementing workflow automation.
  • Experience with service requests, incident, problem, and change management in JSM.
  • Capability to develop dashboards, reports, filters, and KPIs.
