For a limited time MaineHealth is offering a $3,000 sign on bonuses for
Nursing Unit Secretaries:

Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time NUS position.
Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
Nursing Unit Secretary - NICU

Location: 22 Bramhall Street, Portland, ME
Schedule: 24 hour per week / NIGHT shift
Remote: On-site only (no remote flexibility)
Unit Bio:
The NICU/CCN in The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital is a 51 bed level lll-lV unit. This is the largest ICU in the state of Maine. We have single rooms with state-of-the-art equipment and work closely with all disciplines- surgical, cardiac, GI, genetics, renal, palliative care etc. We have Neonatologists and APP's covering 24/7 with a nursing staff of 150. We have an active critical care transport team and a nurse driven PICC Team. Neonatal Intensive Care Unit -31 beds & Continuing Care Nursery - 20 Beds
Summary:
The Nursing Unit Secretary role performs clerical, receptionist, and transporter duties. This role has the responsibility for advanced unit involvement in projects and house-wide activities. Strong candidates for this position will possess excellent customer service skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to communicate with team members, as well as patients and their families effectively.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  1. Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Current BLS certification preferred or may be required based on location.
  3. Experience: Three years of secretarial experience with at least one year within MaineHealth required. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Nursing Unit Secretary I role.
