Where You Will Work:
Atrium Health Charlotte Outpatient Weight Management Clinic is located at 2630 E 7th Street, Suite 100 Charlotte, NC 28204 Our practice specializes in obesity medicine, medical and surgical weight loss, and provides comprehensive, patient-centered care through a multidisciplinary team of bariatric surgeons, obesity-medicine physicians, dietitians, and nurses. We support patients throughout their weight-management journey, from conservative treatment approaches to surgical intervention and long-term follow-up.
We're Looking For:
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience.
  • Prior ambulatory experience preferred
  • Current certification in BLS required
  • BSN preferred
Position Details:
  • Monday - Friday 8:00a - 5:00p
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Outpatient Weight Management Clinic is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered nursing care within a multidisciplinary surgical setting. Key responsibilities include initiating peripheral intravenous (IV) access for in-clinic procedures, conducting clinical triage of patient telephone inquiries, and coordinating prior authorizations for diagnostic studies and surgical interventions. The RN also assists with pre-operative and post-operative patient flow by preparing and rooming patients for the surgeon. This role requires strong clinical judgment, meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to supporting patients throughout the bariatric and weight-management care continuum.

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
