Job description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a lasting impact supporting students district-wide as a school psychologist. This contract opportunity, scheduled from August 17, 2026, to May 27, 2027, offers full-time, in-person work (approximately 33.25 hours per week) near Gurnee, IL. In this pivotal role, you’ll work across the district, providing psychological services that promote students’ educational, emotional, and social well-being.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher in educational psychology
  • Completion of at least one year of internship supervised by a credentialed school psychologist
  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License endorsed for school psychology
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
  • Strong assessment, intervention, consultation, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to build rapport and advocate for students and families
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete psychoeducational and behavioral assessments
  • Interpret evaluation findings and make recommendations for educational programming
  • Provide direct counseling and support services to students
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to design and implement effective interventions
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and multidisciplinary teams
  • Support positive school climate and crisis intervention response
  • Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation in compliance with district and legal standards
