Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your daily activities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans using evidence-based methodologies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
  • Providing ongoing psychotherapy sessions, maintaining a focus on client goals and progress.
  • Documenting session notes and treatment updates with precision to meet compliance requirements.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including school personnel when applicable, to share insights and coordinate care for enrolled clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • A master’s level degree from a regionally accredited university in social work, counseling, or a related field.
  • An active, unrestricted license to practice in the state of Nevada as a social worker (LCSW), counselor (LCPC), marriage and family therapist (LMFT), or psychologist (PsyD, PhD).
  • A clean record free from any disciplinary actions by any licensing board.
Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of clinical psychotherapy experience is required, candidates with specialized training in evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT) and experience with intake assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning will be highly valued. Excellent writing skills are essential for maintaining accurate documentation of therapy sessions.
