Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and customer-friendly Jr. Florist to join our team! The ideal candidate will have some experience in floral arrangements, sales, and deliveries. This role involves assisting with daily operations, including creating floral arrangements, helping customers select flowers and gifts, handling sales transactions, and ensuring timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist florists in preparing floral arrangements for various occasions (e.g., weddings, birthdays, funerals).
  • Provide excellent customer service by helping clients choose flowers, plants, and gift items.
  • Process sales transactions using a POS system and handle cash/card payments.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop, including flower care and inventory management.
  • Arrange and wrap bouquets, gift baskets, and custom floral designs.
  • Deliver floral arrangements to customers and event locations in a timely and professional manner.
  • Load and unload floral supplies and products safely for transportation.
  • Assist with restocking flowers and supplies, checking for quality and freshness.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure proper handling and storage of flowers.
  • Manage all social media and website content, including daily "Designer's choice" floral arrangement posts, and promotion of upcoming sales, holiday specials, and seasonal campaigns to boost engagement and drive traffic.
  • Develop and maintain a consistent posting schedule across all social media platforms to ensure steady visibility and brand presence.
  • Collaborate with the floral design team to capture and post high-quality photos and videos of new arrangements, ship displays, and behind-the-scenes content. 
  • Create engaging captions and hashtags that reflect the brand's tone and attract audience interaction.
  • Monitor social media interactions - respond to comments, messages, and reviews in a timely and professional manner.
  • Stay up to date on social media trends and recommend creative strategies to increase followers, reach and sales
  • Coordinate digital marketing initiatives such as giveaways, collaborations, or influencer partnerships to enhance brand visibility. 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in floral arrangement or working in a flower shop is preferred.
  • Sales or retail experience with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Experience with deliveries and a valid driver’s license (if required for deliveries).
  • Ability to handle flowers with care and work with various floral tools.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable standing for long hours and lifting light to moderate loads.
  • A passion for flowers, creativity, and attention to detail.
  • Valid Driver licenses

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of different flower types and their care.
  • Experience with event floral setup and breakdown.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic cash handling.
