Job description

We have an immediate opening for a Floral Sales Associate in Our Hinsdale location. Part-time ย positions available, depending on hours available and flexibility. Must be will to train in Orland Park and then work inย  Hinsdale.ย  Our Hinsdale store is located at 10 Grant Square in Hinsdale. We are open 9:00am until 5:00pm Monday through Friday and 9:00am until 4:00pm on Saturdays. Closed on Sundays except for major floral Holidays. What we expect you to do:

Your primary role will be answering phone calls (75% of the time), making sales, and expertly consulting with clients to select the perfect gift. This is a fast-paced sales environment requiring accuracy and confidence.

This requires the "Creative thinking and problem-solving" And Floral knowledge is very helpful.

-Help our clients by offering the right gift of flowers or plants for the occasion, matching the customers expectations with appropriate value by using our proven method of selling flowers.

-Utilize our POS computer system and correctly enter all important information about our customers and recipients, including Name, Address, Phone Numbers, Email Address and customer preferences on EVERY order.

Accurately utilize our computer system to process every sale. This requires exceptional attention to detail to correctly enter all customer and recipient data (Name, Address, Phone, Email, Preferences) for successful delivery and client follow-up

-Educate our clients about our shop, our values, and our variety of gifts and services.

-Keep our in-store merchandise in its best condition by watering and cleaning our plants, flowers and gift merchandise, as well as removing unsalable items from the sales floor. -Create ribbon bows, boutonnieres, wristlets, and other small arrangements for dances, weddings and other occasions.

-Assist in marketing efforts by sending letters and postcards, writing Thank-you notes, completing data-entry projects, and taking pictures and giving ideas for Social Media campaigns.

Knowledge and Skills you will need:

-Typing/Keyboarding skills

-Computer Skills, including understanding of Word and Excel or comparable Mac programs

-POS Cashiering and Register operations
