Job Description
The Skilled Trade Group Leader is responsible for overseeing union hourly associates and supporting leadership, including the General Manager at the General Motors Warren Tech Center, in the planning, administration, and execution of all Plant Operations & Maintenance (POM) activities. This role ensures full compliance with Aramark standards and client expectations while delivering high-quality, safe, and efficient facility services.
The Group Leader drives operational excellence by meeting and exceeding performance goals, client objectives, and customer needs. They foster a Safety-First culture, promote teamwork, and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to support a unified approach to facility maintenance operations in alignment with the General Manager's strategic direction. This leader plays a key role in developing frontline talent, managing resources efficiently, and ensuring consistent execution of contracted services.
Salary: $75,000 (Aramark's good-faith estimate at time of posting). Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and more (eligibility varies)
Job Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop union hourly associates to ensure high performance and engagement
  • Support daily operations, including labor planning, scheduling, and cost management
  • Ensure compliance with safety programs, regulatory requirements, and contract obligations
  • Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement across maintenance activities
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration across departmentsUtilize tools such as WebTMA to manage maintenance workflows and reporting
  • Support audits, safety initiatives, and execution of operational strategies

Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of experience in plant operations and maintenance management
  • Experience leading or mentoring union hourly employees
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of facility systems (HVAC, boilers, chillers, etc.)Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with maintenance management systems (WebTMA preferred)
