Maersk Ground Freight (MGF) offers transportation services like FTL (Full Truckload), LTL (Less Than Truckload), brokerage, cross-border trucking, groupage, and sortation hubs, connecting Maersk or Customer warehouses or depots or cross-dock/consolidation/deconsolidation facilities through a robust network led by best-in-class operations and technology. This integrated network will service multi-channels like B2B, B2C, B2B2C, e-commerce, direct to store, dropship, returns, and more, leveraging asset-based, asset-light, and non-asset models.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Operations Manager monitors all operations including but not limited to; Process shipments, prepare paperwork, communicate freight status and dispatch drivers for pick up.
The manager will be the primary interface between Maersk Ground Freight, customers, sales, system operations and vendors and provide quality customer service, while meeting company policies and procedures. The Manager will provide training, complete performance reviews, and issue disciplinary action when necessary.
SHIFT: Tues-Sat 5pm to 3am
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • ers, vendors and other Maersk Ground Freight stations and personnel
  • Freight handling via forklift Assist District Manager with general tasks
  • Responsible for ensuring safe operations as well as compliance with all OSHA regulations, all applicable laws, and Maersk Ground Freight Corporate Policies
  • Effectively train, supervise, coach and evaluate all direct reports to foster good communications and morale
  • Reviews operational key performance measures monthly as well as benchmarking data to drive any required correctional or improvement strategies
  • Responsible for ongoing process analysis of operational systems, procedures, and staffing to drive continuous improvement in operating efficiencies
  • Oversee the warehouse operations including supervising direct reports
  • Overseeing all aspects of the Operations Department and employees
  • Delegating duties and responsibilities
  • Communicating freight status and any problems to custom
  • Load/Off-load build trucks for optimal routing
  • Ops manager is responsible for all the stations domestic KPI's
  • Other duties as assigned

Pay:
$80k to $85k per year
*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
