Overview

VTG is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support mission-critical operations in Fredericksburg, VA. This role requires a blend of network engineering expertise, mobile forensics experience, and knowledge of modern communications technologies to help solve complex technical challenges for our customer.


What will you do?
  • Perform advanced network engineering and troubleshooting tasks, utilizing tools such as Wireshark for packet capture, analysis, and issue resolution
  • Conduct forensic extractions and analysis on mobile devices using commercial forensic tools and products
  • Apply knowledge of WebRTC technologies, including NAT and firewall traversal methods using STUN, ICE, and TURN
  • Support and troubleshoot VOIP systems and related protocols
  • Collaborate with technical teams to design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure
  • Ensure compliance with security best practices and applicable certification standards

Do you have what it takes?
  • Must be a US Citizen with a Top Secret clearance.
  • Master's degree in an applicable field, or equivalent technical experience in lieu of degree

  • Minimum of four (4) years of applicable network engineering experience, including use of Wireshark for network troubleshooting and packet analysis

  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience performing forensic extractions and analysis on mobile devices using commercial forensic products

  • Working knowledge of WebRTC, including NAT and firewall traversal technologies (STUN, ICE, TURN)

  • Knowledge of VOIP and related protocols

  • Active CISSP certification required

VTG’s estimated starting pay range is $66,000-$86,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.

  • Master's degree in an applicable field, or equivalent technical experience in lieu of degree
