Position SummaryThe Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Real-Time Streaming is responsible for designing, operating, and scaling PreciPoint’s infrastructure supporting WebRTC-based real-time medical streaming systems across cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments.
This role focuses on low-latency, high-availability communications infrastructure used in clinical environments, where reliability, security, and regulatory compliance are critical.
This is a hands-on senior engineering role responsible for infrastructure architecture, deployment, monitoring, and operational reliability, while also supporting customer deployments and hospital IT integrations.

The engineer will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and customer teams and will regularly work with customer IT departments during system deployment and integration.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities •\tReal-Time Streaming Infrastructure
•\tOperate, optimize, and troubleshoot WebRTC-based real-time streaming systems
•\tEnsure low latency, high availability, and stable connections across diverse hospital and enterprise networks
•\tConfigure and maintain STUN/TURN servers and streaming services
•\tDiagnose and resolve connectivity issues across NAT, firewall, and enterprise network environments
•\tSupport architecture decisions for scalable real-time communications infrastructure
•\tLead technical onboarding and infrastructure integration for new customer deployments, working directly with hospital IT teams to implement systems within clinical network environments.
•\tServe as the technical liaison between customers, engineering, and partners, providing deployment support and resolving infrastructure or connectivity issues (1st and 2nd level).
Infrastructure & Platform Operations•\tDesign, deploy, and maintain cloud, hybrid, and on-premise infrastructure environments
•\tBuild and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible
•\tAutomate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of infrastructure environments
•\tEnsure scalability, reliability, and availability across global deployments
•\tSupport infrastructure planning for new product capabilities and customer deployments
Networking & Security•\tDesign and maintain network architectures supporting real-time communications systems
•\tConfigure and manage firewalls, VPNs, NAT traversal, secure tunneling, and routing
•\tSupport customer IT and security teams during deployment validation, security reviews, and infrastructure audits
•\tEnsure secure data transmission aligned with healthcare data security standards
System Administration•\tAdminister and maintain Linux-based systems
•\tConfigure and manage NGINX for reverse proxying, load balancing, and secure access
•\tMaintain high system uptime through proactive monitoring and maintenance
•\tSupport rapid response to operational incidents
Containerization & Deployment•\tBuild and maintain Docker-based infrastructure and services
•\tDeploy containerized workloads across cloud and on-premise environments
•\tEnsure infrastructure is reproducible, scalable, and maintainable
Identity & Access Management•\tConfigure and maintain identity and access management solutions including:
•\tSSO
•\tSAML
•\tOAuth2
•\trole-based access control
•\tIntegrate systems with hospital identity providers and enterprise authentication platforms
Observability, Reliability & Incident Response•\tBuild and maintain monitoring, logging, and metrics pipelines
•\tDetect and resolve system performance issues proactively
•\tParticipate in incident response, root cause analysis, and operational improvements
•\tEnsure operational visibility across all deployed environments
Data Integrity & Recovery•\tDesign and implement backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies
•\tValidate recovery processes and ensure data integrity
•\tEnsure availability and protection of sensitive medical and operational data
Minimum Qualifications•\tStrong hands-on experience operating WebRTC-based real-time streaming infrastructure
•\tFamiliarity with WebRTC technologies including:
•\tSTUN / TURN
•\tRTP
•\tICE negotiation
•\tDTLS-SRTP
•\tAdvanced experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible
•\tDeep expertise in Linux system administration
•\tStrong experience deploying and managing Docker-based services
•\tSolid understanding of networking fundamentals including:
•\tTCP / UDP
•\tNAT traversal
•\tVPNs
•\tfirewalls
•\tExperience operating STUN/TURN infrastructure
•\tExperience with identity and access management systems such as:

•\tExperience supporting mission-critical production systems
•\tAbility to work directly with customer IT teams during deployments
Preferred Qualifications•\tExperience working in MedTech, HealthTech, or other regulated industries
•\tFamiliarity with HIPAA, GDPR, or healthcare security frameworks
•\tExperience supporting hospital or clinical IT environments
•\tExposure to Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms
•\tExperience working with low-latency real-time communication systems
