Job description

Position: Senior Business Intelligence Engineer
Location :Downey, CA - Remote
Duration: 12+ months
Skills Required:
The Senior Enterprise Architect will possess knowledge and technical expertise in standards and technologies to support complex business analysis, solution selection, systems design, and application integration.
Must have a minimum of seven (7) years of applying Enterprise Architecture principles. At least five (5) years of that experience must be in a lead capacity.
Requires the possession of a bachelor's degree in an IT-related or Engineering field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Skills Preferred:
Possess knowledge and technical expertise in standards and technologies to support complex business analysis, solution selection, systems design, and application integration. Skill in; - Data Modeling - Connect/Data Transformation - Visualization - Security/Deployment - Power BI - WebFocus
Data Modeling: Experience (5 years) and comfortable using DAX Studio, SSMS, or other Modelling tools and understands the core fundamentals to adjust and correct performance problems. Deals with and can manage large models, incremental refresh, calculation groups, and aggregation tables. Connect/Data Transformations: Proficient in understanding all the primary connection methods and Experience (5 years) in performing complex data consolidation from multiple disparate source systems. Knowledge of writing T-SQL, Stored Procedures, and Regular use of Parameters, and functions, Experience and comfortable using tools and services such as SSIS and ADF. Experience using Power Query and M language. Visualization: Master of Storytelling, Report Creation, Dashboard Design with drill-down capabilities, and mobile dashboards. Security/Deployment: Can fully support complex Row Level Security, Experience (5 years) and comfortable in Power BI deployment and implementation. BI Platforms: Have Experience (5 years) in working with BI Platforms like Power BI and WebFocus. Admin/Architecture: Experience (5 years) in establishing scalability and flexibility data architecture, Full proficiency in administering Power BI at the organization level, troubleshooting gateways and breakdowns, and fully provisioning and applying for licenses within the organization. Can provide insight on licensing policies and cost optimize the Power BI environment.
