Product Safety & Conformity Engineer (Quality Engineer)

  • Lead and coordinate product safety incidents from investigation through resolution, ensuring timely containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and stakeholder communication
  • Monitor, assess, and drive compliance with product safety, regulatory, and internal quality requirements across products, processes, and manufacturing operations
  • Conduct and support internal audits, process audits, product audits, and compliance assessments to verify adherence to established standards, procedures, and legal requirements
  • Partner with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and cross-functional teams to identify risks and implement preventive actions that improve product safety and quality performance
  • Analyze customer complaints, warranty data, field issues, and safety-related trends to identify emerging risks and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support recall and product safety management activities by coordinating investigations, preparing technical documentation, and facilitating communications with internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain product safety and quality documentation, including risk assessments, corrective action reports, audit findings, and lessons learned
  • Provide guidance and training to teams on quality processes, compliance requirements, risk mitigation, and product safety best practices

This is what you bring to us
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent education and experience will be considered
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Quality Engineer or related quality role within a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated experience leading a product safety incident investigation, including containment, root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and cross-functional coordination
  • Experience auditing compliance to process requirements and evaluating adherence to quality systems, standards, procedures, and controls
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, auditing methodologies, corrective action processes, risk assessments, and continuous improvement tools
  • Ability to analyze complex technical and quality issues, identify risks, and drive effective solutions across cross-functional teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present findings, recommendations, and compliance concerns to leadership and key stakeholders
  • Automotive industry experience, product recall management experience, and familiarity with IATF 16949, VDA auditing practices, or product safety regulations are preferred but not required
