Reliability Lubrication Specialist

Job Type: Full Time

We are expanding our technical services division and are looking for a motivated, solutions‑driven Reliability Lubrication Specialist to support our customers in the United States, with a primary focus on the Gulf Coast – South Region. This role will provide technical support to improve client lubrication reliability programs and industrial equipment performance in the industrial, marine, and offshore sectors.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Collaborate closely with industrial reliability teams, technicians, and maintenance personnel to perform root cause analysis and resolve equipment issues.
  • Evaluate lubrication applications and diagnose operational challenges related to rotating equipment.
  • Interpret and make recommendations based on client oil analysis results to enhance equipment life and performance.
  • Recommend corrective actions such as filtration, dehydration, flushing, contamination control improvements, lubricant changes, and PM modifications.
  • Recommend improvements to sampling practices, lubricant storage, handling, and transfer procedures.

 Customer Engagement & Communication

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor—providing clear, professionally written documentation and verbal communication to customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Present technical and commercial information to stakeholders with confidence and clarity.
  • Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, recommendations, and improvement opportunities.
  • Escalate critical findings which require immediate customer attention.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through responsive technical support and thorough explanations of findings.
  • Participate in customer reliability reviews, program evaluations, and technical discussions.

 General Responsibilities

  • Manage internal business expenses and communicate financial information clearly.
  • Devise practical solutions to equipment and lubrication challenges.
  • Complete additional tasks to support team and customer success, as needed.
  • Participate in technical training, certification programs, and continuing education.
Skills / Requirements

 Education & Experience

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Technology, Mechanical Technology, Reliability, Lubrication, or related technical field preferred.
  • 2-5+ years of experience with Industrial Lubrication, rotating equipment (pumps, gearboxes, compressors, etc.) and/or Industrial reliability/maintenance environments (preferred).
  • Experience with lubrication best practices in industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with predictive maintenance practices (vibration, oil analysis, thermography, etc.) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of general industrial rotating machinery maintenance preferred.

 Certifications

  • Required: Ability to acquire ICML MLT I (Machinery Lubrication Technician), MLA 1 (Machinery Lubrication Analyst), or higher.

 Skills & Abilities

  • Self-starter with a high level of initiative and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a customer service mindset.
  • Ability to interpret technical data and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Flexible schedule with availability for occasional weekend work.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to OSHA standards.

 Other Requirements

  • Ability to obtain plant safety clearances and entry requirements.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (preferred).
  • Valid TWIC card or ability to obtain one.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening and remain compliant with random or periodic screenings, as required.
  • Ability to regularly lift/move up to 40 lbs. and work in field environments requiring walking, climbing, kneeling, and balancing.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This is an office-based role. However, there may occasionally be field tasks that require walking, climbing, crouching, and/or handling tools and equipment. Specific vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus in changing light conditions.
