Job description

Elite Business Resources is seeking an experienced Reliability Coordinator for one of our industrial manufacturing clients. This position plays a critical role in improving equipment reliability, reducing unplanned downtime, and supporting overall maintenance performance. The ideal candidate will have experience with predictive and preventive maintenance programs, equipment inspections, lubrication systems, and maintenance data analysis in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support facility reliability initiatives to improve equipment performance and operational efficiency.
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of Lubrication Technicians, including scheduling, route completion, coaching, and performance oversight.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve equipment lubrication programs, including lubrication routes, schedules, specifications, and procedures.
  • Manage the facility's oil analysis program by scheduling sample collection, reviewing laboratory results, and initiating corrective maintenance actions when necessary.
  • Perform and coordinate routine reliability inspections to identify early signs of equipment wear, vibration, overheating, leaks, or other potential failures.
  • Utilize predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasound, and visual inspections to identify equipment issues before failures occur.
  • Maintain lubricant inventory and ensure proper storage, handling, labeling, and contamination control procedures are followed.
  • Manage reliability documentation and maintenance records within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Coordinate with maintenance planning personnel to prioritize and schedule reliability-generated work orders.
  • Analyze maintenance and equipment performance data to identify recurring issues and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports detailing reliability metrics, equipment performance, lubrication compliance, corrective actions, and maintenance trends.
  • Develop and deliver training on lubrication best practices, predictive maintenance techniques, and reliability processes.
  • Support root cause investigations by providing equipment history, maintenance records, and reliability data.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and all applicable maintenance procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • 4–6 years of industrial maintenance, reliability, or predictive maintenance experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
  • Experience managing lubrication programs, reliability inspections, or predictive maintenance initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Lubrication systems and best practices
    • Oil analysis and contamination control
    • Equipment reliability principles
    • Preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasound, and condition monitoring.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience overseeing technicians or maintenance personnel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
  • Experience in lumber, wood products, paper mill, sawmill, or heavy manufacturing environments.
  • Professional certifications such as:
    • CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional)
    • MLT (Machine Lubrication Technician)
    • MLA (Machine Lubricant Analyst)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
