ABOUT THE ROLE
The Print and Mail Project Manager plans, organizes, and manages projects related to the production of printed and mailed materials. An understanding of both print and mail production, as well as strong project management skills, is required.
We are looking for someone organized, self-motivated, and a real go-getter who can help us see projects through from estimating to production. This is a terrific position for anyone interested in the print industry and working in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment!

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Successfully manage the life of a project from estimating to production.
  • Meeting all deadlines and quality objectives while ensuring company profitability.
  • Lead an inter-departmental team (including Data Processing, Prepress, Sheetfed Press Room, Digital Press, Bindery, Inkjetting, Mail Prep, Inventory, Accounting, and Sales) to complete print and mail projects on time, to specifications, within budget, and with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Estimate projects/programs (including both internal production and outside services).
  • Translate specifications and scheduling into MIS system(s).
  • Ensure quality throughout the production process as needed (proofing, press-checks, bindery-checks, etc.).
  • Create and maintain any custom programs needed for specific accounts.
  • Complete all necessary sub-forms (proof requests, pre-flight forms, special instruction sheets, inventory forms, shipping requests, etc.) and distribute all necessary paperwork to the appropriate departments.
  • Maintain customer inventory.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least 1 year of experience in sales or project management.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in print production and/or direct mail production.
  • Strong knowledge of Print Production (sheetfed, heatset web, digital).
  • Strong knowledge of USPS guidelines for business/bulk mail.
  • Knowledge of standard bindery functions.
  • Knowledge of wide format, letterpress, envelope converting, inventory, and fulfillment a plus.
  • May be required to complete and pass Public Trust Security Clearance.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is predominantly held in a clerical environment, but will also need to work on the production floor in an industrial warehouse setting.
