Job description

Burr & Forman LLP is currently hiring for a full-time E-Discovery Project Manager. This position will preferably be resident in our Atlanta, GA, or Birmingham, AL office, but other select states in our footprint will be considered as well. Under the supervision of the E-Discovery and Support Operations Manager, this role is responsible for providing litigation technology support throughout the firm.  When you join our team, you will benefit from the experience of interesting, pivotal work in a friendly and professional environment. KEY CONTRIBUTIONS

  • Administer Relativity Software; manage all database related functions to support attorneys’ use of Relativity.
  • Provide consultation concerning ESI for collections; organize and maintain documents and evidence; work with attorneys, staff, clients, co-counsel and independent consultants to collect and document evidentiary materials.
  • Manage collections, document reviews, and hosting of electronic data; create databases and perform tasks such as searching, culling, and productions.
  • Respond to the needs of department management, legal teams, and clients; establish workflow to support efficient document reviews.
  • Carry out day-to-day reporting related to document and electronic evidence collection administration.
  • Ensure timely flow and on-line availability of document and electronic evidence collections and quality of database content.
  • Manipulate data load files between litigation review platforms.
  • Implement structured analytics including email threading, near de-duplication, and other features.
  • Work with eDiscovery vendors to implement available AI and active learning technologies in Relativity.
  • Provide technical assistance and product training on all litigation support tools
  • Train and assist legal teams with development of demonstrative evidence including presentation of exhibits and audio/video files in presentation software.
  • Work closely with IT to maintain and manage external web-based document repositories, external web-based case management tools, etc.
  • Other responsibilities as needed.

THE ESSENTIALS

  • Relevant e-discovery experience, litigation experience, and experience in a litigation technology support role are required.
  • Minimum 5 years of Relativity experience, as well as Relativity administration experience, are required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Relativity and other litigation software; Citrix ShareFile and other document repository and sharing solutions; and OnCue or other trial presentation tools such as Trial Director, Sanction, and/or TrialPad.
  • Highly organized, detail-orientated, proactive with a desire to take ownership as a contributing member of the team.
  • Balance competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment, exercising patience and professionalism during stressful situations.
  • Strong communication and drafting skills.
  • Some overtime may be required.
