Job description

Role Overview: A junior accessibility analyst is an important member of our digital accessibility team. A junior accessibility analyst works under the direction of the digital accessibility program manager. An accessibility analyst assists in technical evaluations of digital products for compliance with accessibility standards. The analyst performs automated and manual assessments of websites and mobile applications, compiles and reports their findings to product teams.

Qualifications

      Currently enrolled in college or within once year of your graduation date.  A college degree in user experience, software development, or technology related program.
      Basic knowledge of W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
      Basic understanding of web development technologies and how they impact the user experience.
      Excellent communication skills to articulate opportunities and build business cases.
      Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and drive results.
      Familiarity with accessibility testing tools and technologies.

Schedule

  • This position is a 40 hour per week position.
  • No overtime unless explicitly approved by the program manager.
  • Work will be performed during standard business hours unless special circumstances arise.
  1. Setup and monitor automated accessibility scans.
  2. Perform manual accessibility assessments following standardized assessment protocols.
  3. Summarizes findings into actionable recommendations for improvement.
  4. Produces reports for product managers detailing accessibility compliance and opportunities for improvement.
  5. Assists in producing educational materials for alignment with accessibility standards.
