TITLE: SFG Operations Associate

DEPARTMENT: Specialty Finance Group




JOB SUMMARY:

The SFG Operations Associate is responsible for facilitating loan closings, and maintaining loan files, independently, but in line with established policies and procedures. Additionally, this position is an essential contributor with regards to portfolio reporting and maintenance.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for a variety of routine loan servicing tasks; including processing payments, applying payments, completing wire requests, distributing loan payments and overseeing the SFG swap portfolio.
  • Open and service deposit accounts for SFG clients as requested. 
  • Responsible for internal portfolio management processes including monitoring and performing appropriate action related to past dues and maturing loans, communicating with participant banks, and working with internal and external auditors.
  • Obtain and maintain a thorough knowledge of internal procedures, various systems and/or web-based applications used including but not limited to Signature, Laser Pro, Nautilus.
  • Effectively communicate with and assist officers, employees, borrowers and professionals with any questions or research they may request to satisfy borrowers' needs.
  • Contribute to client relationships by providing a consistent quality level of service.
  • Attend training sessions, webinars or seminars to enhance knowledge of job requirements.
  • Comply with all company or regulatory policies, procedures and requirements that are applicable to this position.
  • Foster and preserve a culture of inclusion.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be required to support the company's mission, vision and values. 



QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Previous knowledge of SWAP's, and/or tax credits is a plus.
  • Capability to work and collaborate with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and professional manner.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of lending procedures and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to organize and manage a variety of projects and tasks.
  • Capability to manage sensitive information and uphold confidentiality.
  • Capability to utilize various banking software and Microsoft 365 products, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Duties are performed in a professional office environment.
