Small Giants is seeking an in-office Web Developer who brings strong technical problem-solving skills, exceptional organization, and a client-first mindset. Working directly alongside our internal design and strategy teams, you will turn creative site concepts into fully functional, high-performing digital experiences. This role is ideal for an organized, adaptable developer who enjoys building websites in WordPress, managing hosting environments, and serving as a clear, reassuring technical resource for our clients.
What the Position Entails
  • Build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites using Elementor, page builders, and custom post types based on designs provided by our creative team.
  • Serve as a primary technical contact for clients, translation technical web, domain and hosting concepts into clear, non-technical language during launches and support calls.
  • Manage web hosting environments, cPanel, domain migrations, DNS configurations, SSL certificates, site security, and routine site maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, site bugs, broken links, and responsiveness challenges across live and staging environments.
  • Apply basic front-end web best practices for site performance, basic SEO concepts, Advanced SEO keyword research and tactics, analytics tracking (Google Analytics), and mobile responsiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with internal strategists, designers and project managers to keep digital deliverables on schedule.
  • Complete technical and web-related duties as assigned by your manager.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience building and maintaining WordPress websites using Elementor or similar visual builders (portfolio or live site examples required).
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage hosting environments (cPanel/WHM), domain DNS record, and website migrations without assistance.
  • Strong foundational understanding of CSS and HTML for custom styling adjustments.
  • Comfortable communicating directly with clients via phone, email, and virtual meetings to resolve technical support requests.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, basic SEO concepts, advanced SEO keyword research and tactics, and design platforms like Figma or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Prior experience in agency environments is a plus.
  • Must be able to work full-time on-site in our Phoenix, AZ office.
