Job description

At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don't just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset - who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.
WHO WE ARE
Snowflake delivers the AI Data Cloud - a global network where thousands of organizations mobilize data with near-unlimited scale, concurrency, and performance. Inside the AI Data Cloud, organizations unite their siloed data, easily discover and securely share governed data, and execute diverse analytic workloads. Wherever data or users live, Snowflake delivers a single and seamless experience across multiple public clouds. Snowflake's platform is the engine that powers and provides access to the AI Data Cloud, creating a solution for data warehousing, data lakes, data engineering, data science, data application development, and data sharing. Join Snowflake customers, partners, and data providers already taking their businesses to new frontiers in the AI Data Cloud.
WHO YOU ARE
As a Senior Web Platform Engineer, you are a hands-on, full-stack individual contributor and a driving force behind Snowflake's global corporate website - a high-traffic, public-facing platform built on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Cloud with server-side rendered React. You move fluidly between frontend and backend, bringing deep expertise across React, TypeScript, Java, and AEM's content platform, and you thrive at building fast, accessible, and scalable web experiences that drive engagement and conversion.
You're joining a team that is actively redefining what a website - and a web team - looks like in an AI-native world. We don't just use AI coding assistants. We're building and deploying autonomous AI agents across our entire workflow: agents that build pages, agents that run QA, agents that manage translations, agents that generate structured data and optimize content at scale. And we go further than most - we're actively integrating Snowflake's own AI products directly into the website, creating a bi-directional relationship between the platform and the product. If the idea of working alongside AI teammates, shipping AI-powered web experiences, and using the product you're helping market excites you as much as it excites us, this is the role.
You operate with a product mindset, balancing technical excellence with business impact, and you're energized by the challenge of modernizing a large-scale platform while simultaneously pioneering new ways of working with AI. On a small, high-impact team, you wear many hats - writing code one hour and leading a cross-functional meeting the next. You are comfortable mentoring vendor and global engineering partners and influencing outcomes through technical leadership and collaboration.
This role reports to the Senior Manager, Web Engineering and sits within the Global Web team as part of the Brand Marketing organization.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Ship features, fix bugs, and improve the platform daily across the full stack - React components, server-side rendering, Sling Models, OSGi services, servlets, and content APIs. This is a hands-on coding role first, with technical leadership layered on top.
  • Contribute to the team's AI agent ecosystem: help design, build, test, and improve autonomous agents that handle page creation, QA validation, content translation, structured data generation, and other workflows that traditionally required manual engineering effort.
  • Build frontend experiences and backend services for AI-powered features, including chatbot interfaces, automated translation, personalized content delivery, and intelligent search - leveraging Snowflake's own AI products.
  • Drive ongoing platform modernization - caching strategies, performance optimization, and architectural improvements that keep the site fast, scalable, and future-proof.
  • Take projects from scoping through delivery, collaborating cross-functionally with teams like SEO, Developer Relations, Product Marketing and more.
  • Uphold and champion coding standards, accessibility requirements (WCAG AA), and testing practices across internal and vendor teams.
  • Build and maintain integrations with external services, including analytics platforms, CDN layers (Cloudflare, Fastly), third-party APIs, and Snowflake's own AI products.
  • Collaborate with vendor and global engineering partners, providing technical direction and code reviews to ensure quality and consistency.
WHAT YOU'LL HAVE
  • Proactive self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and initiative.
  • Full-stack expertise spanning React/TypeScript on the frontend and Java/AEM on the backend, with hands-on experience delivering across both layers.
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) - Sling Models, OSGi services, HTL, and content APIs.
  • Demonstrated success driving measurable performance improvements on large-scale, public-facing websites.
  • Strong understanding of web performance fundamentals - Core Web Vitals, rendering pipelines, caching architectures, query optimization, and async processing.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for AI-augmented development - not just using AI tools, but actively shaping how AI agents participate in engineering, QA, content, and operational workflows.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to lead meetings, align stakeholders, and drive decisions across design, engineering, marketing, and operations teams.
  • Experience championing technical standards and mentoring other engineers, including vendor and global teams.
  • A pragmatic, outcome-focused mindset with strong attention to detail and code quality.
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments with competing priorities and high expectations.
  • Quick to understand complex enterprise platforms and multi-layer delivery architectures.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EDUCATION
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in full-stack or frontend/backend web engineering, ideally supporting large-scale, public-facing B2B or enterprise websites.
  • Deep AEM Cloud experience and familiarity with modern AEM development patterns.
  • Experience with server-side rendering frameworks and client-side hydration patterns.
  • Experience designing caching strategies (in-memory, CDN, application-level) and optimizing backend performance for high-traffic environments.
  • Experience working with AI/LLM-powered tools, agents, or workflows in an engineering context - whether building AI features, integrating LLM APIs, designing agent systems, or using AI-assisted development tools to meaningfully accelerate delivery.
  • Familiarity with CDN and edge platforms (Cloudflare Workers, Fastly, Dispatcher) and content delivery optimization.
  • Familiarity with web analytics platforms (Adobe Analytics, Heap) and experimentation tools (Adobe Target, Optimizely).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience working within Agile or iterative delivery environments.
