Job Description:

  • Plan design develops configure and maintain GOSU application code and configuration elements within Guidewire Studio
  • Ability to provide technical leadership to junior Guidewire associates regarding Guidewire development and support
  • Understand the exact Client Business Needs check the technical Feasibility to achieve the requirements and communicating the same to team there by producing quality deliverables expected by client
  • Onsite Offshore Coordination for resolving production Incidents
  • Review the Offshore Development work in Areas of PCF Configuration Business Rules and Data Model Creation
  • Managing and communicating team status to Onsite Management
  • Technical support for Guidewire PolicyCenter in production
  • Coordinating with team to analyzed defects
  • Coordinate with other service provider and integration owners to make sure the applications are up and running
  • Proposing Configuration and Integration Solutions and estimate the effort for the same as part of User Story requirements
  • Interact with Analysts and Business Users to translate functional specifications into technical design for implementation and deployment

Technical Skills

  • Guidewire PolicyCenter experience for implantation and state rollouts
  • Design, develop, and unit test solutions using the Guidewire Rating Module
  • Define and develop rating engine and related changes in system
  • Configuration for state specific forms rating business rules PCF changes and integrations
  • Create solution design recommendations and estimates and effectively present solution options for implementation
  • 7 years of development experience in Guidewire Policy Center and demonstrated ability with GOSU programming
  • Acquire training in or demonstrate Guidewire related skillsets like Guidewire plugins GOSU script and suite integration
  • Experience with Agile methodology software version control and release management
  • At least 5 to 7 years of experience in developing multitier web-based applications
  • using JAVA J2EE WSDLXSDXML SOA JAVA Web Services and JMS or other Messaging framework
  • Require strong design and development experience in integrating systems using Web
  • Services technologies JAXRPC JAXWS JAXB Apache Axis 2 framework
  • Experience working with SQL Server or DB2 database
  • 3rdparty platform integration
  • Application Servers such as Web sphere Apache Tomcat or JBOSS J2EE application containers

Primary Skills (Must Have):

  • 5 to 8 years of hands-on work experience Guidewire PolicyCenter modules like configuration Rating
  • Hands on knowledge of Guidewire Configuration and/or Integration
  • One complete end to end implementation experience
  • Development experience with Guidewire GOSU proprietary code
  • Development experience with Guidewire APIs methods rules and processes
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills especially in a complex application stack
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Should have worked in Production support Team
  • Should have worked in Onsite Offshore Model

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

  • Certified Guidewire PolicyCenter professional
  • 7 to 9 Years of experience in Java programming Strong skills in Java programming
