Job Description


Acts in the highest level technical role as an individual contributor and/or team lead for the most complex computer applications and/or application initiatives 
Utilizes a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs 
Works on the most complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of intangible variance factors.  Plans, performs, and acts as the escalation point for the most complex platform designs, coding, and testing 
Leads most complex multiple modeling, simulations, and analysis efforts 
Acts as expert technical resource to programming staff in the program development, testing, and implementation process 
10+ years of application development and implementation experience

This Java Developer role is part of the CORE team within the Consumer Lending Technology Group. This role will act as a lead and develop application design guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs 
Some of the main responsibilities include: 
Analyze highly complex business requirements 
Generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications 
Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts 
Leverage industry (Java and J2EE) best practices to design, test, implement and support a multi-tier origination J2EE solution working with an Oracle DB 
Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area 
Hands-on development experience is critical to this role and will constitute a majority of the responsibility

Candidate must have the ability to adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications: 
7+ years of Java/J2EE development experience; Hands on experience in designing, developing and successful deployment of large scale, Java/J2EE projects from end-to-end 
Hands on experience in following the iterative and agile SDLC 
Extensive knowledge and application of Java best practices and J2EE design patterns along with experience with application servers (i.e. Weblogic, WebSphere, JBoss, etc.), and Oracle database servers 
Experience in implementing design patterns and should be able to adapt to the changing patterns quickly 
Hands-on experience with n-tier J2EE technologies such as Java EE 5, JavaScript, Hibernate Spring and UML documentation 
Experience in various performance analysis and tuning techniquesExcellent verbal and written communications skills are essential 
Preferred Skills:

Production Support experience 
Demonstrated analytical and reverse engineering experience 
Prior work experience in the financial industry. Hibernate, Eclipse Modeling Framework or other ORM tool experience 
Prior work experience in OSCache, JCache or other caching API 
SQL performance tuning
