Job Overview

We are seeking a CAD/CAM Programmer to support the design, programming, and machining of injection and die-cast mold components. This role involves creating efficient CNC programs for complex mold geometry while working closely with mold designers and machinists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program CNC machining operations for mold bases, cores, cavities, inserts, and slides
  • Create and modify CAD models, blueprints, and CAM toolpaths
  • Support high-speed machining, hard milling, and graphite milling
  • Collaborate with engineering, EDM, and machining teams
  • Prove out programs and assist with troubleshooting and optimization

Qualifications

  • Experience in an injection mold or die-cast mold shop (preferred but not necessary)
  • Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, Creo, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of mold construction and CNC machining
  • Ability to read mold drawings

Preferred Experience

  • Multi-axis machining and 3D surfacing
  • EDM and electrode design knowledge
  • Experience with hardened steels and mold materials
