Overview

Position Title: Web Application Developer - Data Visualization

Location: Annapolis Junction, MD

Reports To: Program Manager / Team Lead

Job Type: Full-time

Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph

Summary:

We are seeking a talented, cleared web developer to help push forward the development and enhancement of a web application focused on modernization and development. This role will modernized and push metrics towards a visual dashboard, transitioning an existing desktop tool into a web app. This role will join an established task team on a healthy contract. Teammates are collocated and actively collaborate. The best fit for this role will be someone who is able to shift gears between individual contributions and team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute UX/UI development workflow from wireframes to high fidelity prototyping
  • Develop dashboards to provide fidelity into service status and insight into health and availability, utilization, and capabilities of existing services
  • Incorporate human factors into design and think creatively about how user experience affects system impact and make the appropriate suggestive changes to represent the user's point of view
  • Working with teammates to customize COTS components to enable secure application functionality
  • Drive web application development through a series of prototyping and incremental improvement, following software development processes and actively participating in establishing automation throughout the development/testing/packaging and deployment phases
  • Write documentation regarding the technical requirements

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
      • 4 years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree

    Experience:

    • 8+ years experience as a developer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

    Skills:

    • Java (Swing, Servlets)
    • JavaScript (vanilla, JQuery)
    • React or SolidJS
    • SpringBoot
    • Grafana
    • Posses a creative talent with visual design tools, coupled with core knowledge of JavaScript to implement designs in a modern web framework
    • Ability to diagnose issues and work to eliminate technical debt regarding application usability.
    • Work independently on complex projects

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to travel as required.
    • Standard office environment with occasional requirements to visit client sites, labs, or field environments.
