Job Description

We're looking for a web developer/designer to join the award-winning ND Web team in managing and developing the University's most important websites. Every day you'll be collaborating with our team of web professionals to maintain beautiful, usable websites for the Notre Dame community. 

This role provides support and updates for the 700 websites maintained by the University Communications web team. This individual balances web design and technical aptitudes with a people-first, customer service mindset. Daily responsibilities of this role include: 

  • Working with campus partners to plan and modify existing websites.
  • Training and documentation for campus partners using our technical platforms.
  • Front-side website and email development.
  • Consultation on technical issues with application developers.
  • Performing quality assurance reviews to ensure websites meet compliance standards.
  • Managing our web support queue.
Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Associates degree or up to 3 years of college or technical school
  • At least 1 year of professional experience
  • Web development experience
  • Web design experience
  • Fantastic customer service and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Strong organizational and task management skills
  • Well-rounded web communications professional, understanding the intersections of content strategy, quality design and development, analytics, user experience, branding, etc.
  • Ability to work in the United States, now or in the future, without visa sponsorship
  • Character Traits:
    • Self-motivated, self-starter
    • Team player 
    • Desire to learn, grow, and develop
    • Multitasker - ability to tackle a variety of tasks and priorities in one day.
