Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Based in Nashville, TN, the Marketing Communications Manager is primarily responsible for devising marketing strategies and programs to improve brand awareness, handling external and internal communications across digital and traditional channels, and crafting dealer / clinical sales enablement, communication strategies for regional product launches and other key events to continuously drive for more efficient and effective marketing activities (online/offline), with results in market share gain. Drawing on deep expertise in offline and field channel marketingโ€”with particular strength in dealer enablement and clinical sellingโ€”complemented by online digital marketing (including SEO/SEM, paid social and digital advertising, email and content marketing, marketing automation, and web and campaign analytics), they lead the execution of strategic marketing and sales initiatives and campaigns within the region, weighted toward the offline programs that activate dealers and clinical audiences. Finally, they are directly responsible for managing the outward-facing marketing associates (e.g. social media, digital marketing, and internet marketing associates) within the North American Marketing team.

PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute an integrated marketing communications strategy spanning both offline/field channels and digital (SEO/SEM, paid media, content, email, and social)โ€”weighted toward offline and channel activationโ€”to drive brand awareness within the North American Market
  • Develop and execute online / offline strategic initiatives from marketing asset creative production to activity planning and execution, to support the North American commercial team including:
    • North American product launch planning, communication, and execution
    • Strategic marketing campaigns
    • Strategize and implement effective dealer enablement programs (dealer training, co-marketing, point-of-sale materials, and sales tools)
    • Strategize and implement clinical selling and in-service programs to improve clinician engagement and conversion effectiveness
    • Support the development and release of commercial selling tools such as clinical sales playbooks.
  • Managing and strategically implementing external and internal communications for the North American Markets, continuously nurture and grow partnership with media and various relevant stakeholders in the healthcare eco-system.
  • Collaborating with global and other local marketing colleagues, lead, design & execute data-driven digital and social media strategies for consumers, dealers, clinicians and associates to maximize brand awareness, audience growth, and community engagement, leveraging web and campaign analytics to continuously optimize performance.
  • Personally produce marketing assets end to endโ€”hands-on copywriting and graphic design (including layout and production in Adobe InDesign)โ€”for newsletters, external emails, press releases, social media campaigns, dealer and clinical sales collateral, and similar content, rather than relying solely on others to execute the work.
  • Directly manage North American marketing associates, including digital, internet, and event coordination
  • Own the digital marketing technology stack and reporting (including marketing automation, SEO/SEM, paid digital campaigns, and web analytics) to drive lead generation and measure marketing ROI.
  • Managing external communication channels including social media platforms, company websites and media relations, press releases, etc.
  • Work closely with the North American Education Team to plan, market and analyze the success of education events such as in-person education events and online webinars.
  • Work closely with the North American Marketing team to plan, market and analyze the success of major events (e.g. International Seating Symposium, Abilities Expos, Key Dealer Events, National Sales Conference, etc.).
  • Supporting global marketing initiatives as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:ย 

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Marketing Communications, Business Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years related experience, preferably in the healthcare and/or life science industry, including experience in a leadership/decision-making capacity.
  • Experience in marketing durable goods in a business to business and/or consumer environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a team and operate in a cross-functional environment
  • Computer literacy; familiarity with information technology concepts, integrated business systems, personal computers, Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proficiency with marketing and project management platforms, such as marketing automation/CRM (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce), web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics), SEO/SEM and social media tools (e.g., Google Ads, Hootsuite), and project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday.com).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and analytical skills.
  • Hands-on copywriting and graphic design skills, including proficiency in Adobe InDesign (and broader Creative Suite), with the ability to personally produce polished print and digital marketing collateral.
