WEB SERVER ADMINISTRATOR
The Web Server Administrator is responsible for managing web server infrastructure to ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of web services. This role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining web servers, troubleshooting server issues, and implementing security measures to protect web environments. The Web Server Administrator is also expected to be available for on-call work to address urgent issues and ensure continuous operation.

Installation and Configuration: Install and configure web server software (e.g., Apache, Nginx, IIS) and related components

Maintenance and Upgrades: Regularly update and patch web servers to ensure they are secure and performing optimally.

Level II 8570 Certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)

  • Strong understanding of network protocols, DNS, SSL/TLS, and web security practices.
