We are seeking an Web Administrator to support the design, development, and maintenance of Steel Dynamics digital platforms, including external and internal company websites. The ideal candidate is a motivated, detail-oriented problem-solver eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.


  • Assist in developing and customizing company websites and web-based applications
  • Provide technical support for our websites to end users and stakeholders
  • Ensure all websites meet our performance expectations, business needs, and cyber security requirements
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and debugging of website related issues
  • Work closely with senior developers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver cohesive and polished digital experiences.

Required

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Collaborate with teams to support marketing initiatives and ensure consistency across all websites.
  • Stay up to date with web technologies and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Word Press, CSS, PHP, HTML, and JavaScript 
  • Experience with source code management (Git)
  • Familiar with UI/UX, SEO and responsive design
  • On-site 5 days a week in Fort Wayne, IN

Preferred

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, Google Analytics, and various reporting tools.
  • Experience with Linux, Nginx, IIS, and SharePoint
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Steel Dynamics is one of the largest and most diversified domestic steel producers and metals recyclers in the United States, with an estimated steelmaking and coating capacity of approximately 13 million tons, and facilities located throughout the United States and in Mexico. We operate using a circular manufacturing model, producing lower-carbon-emission, quality steel using electric arc furnace (EAF) technology with recycled ferrous scrap as the primary input. Our circular economy is powered by our three primary operating platforms: steel, metals recycling, and steel fabrication. Our steel operations produce steel products, including hot roll, cold roll, and coated sheet steel, structural steel beams and shapes, rail, engineered special-bar-quality steel, cold finished steel, merchant bar products, and specialty steel sections. Our metals recycling operations collect and process ferrous and nonferrous scrap from manufacturing and end-of-life items, such as automobiles, appliances, and machinery. This processed scrap is then sold to end-users for reuse, including our EAF steel mills, which produce new steel from the scrapped material. We sell a meaningful amount of steel to our own steel fabrication operations that in turn produce and sell structural steel joist and deck building systems to consumers.
