Position Type: Full-time Overview:
Proksi Systems is hiring an entry-level Junior Web Application Developer / System Administrator for US Navyโ€™s AEGIS Program. Duties: โ€ข Assist in the design, development, and deployment of web applications supporting Navy AEGIS operations. โ€ข Collaborate with senior developers to implement new features and enhancements. โ€ข Respond to user support requests, troubleshoot application and system issues, and provide clear, timely solutions. โ€ข Help maintain and enhance existing applications by resolving bugs and implementing user-driven requests. โ€ข Participate in regular feature demos and presentations, gathering feedback to support continuous improvement. โ€ข Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established standards. โ€ข Support testing, performance tuning, and system optimization tasks. โ€ข Communicate clearly and professionally with users, teammates, and stakeholders. โ€ข Application support: Monitor web application performance, troubleshooting issues, and assist with application deployments. โ€ข User support: Provide technical support to end-users, manage user accounts, and set up access permissions.
Qualifications: โ€ข Minimum: โ—ฆ Bachelorโ€™s degree in computer science, information systems, or related quantitative field, such as engineering or mathematics, or equivalent experience. โ—ฆ Active Secret security clearance โ—ฆ Familiarity of performing routine updates, security patching, and system upgrades to ensure systems are secure and up to date. โ—ฆ Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript. โ—ฆ Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL. โ—ฆ Strong written and verbal communication skills. โ—ฆ Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) Directive 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II requirements, such as CCNA, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP. โ€ข Preferred: โ€ข Familiarity with Adobe ColdFusion or another backend language (e.g. Go, Python, Java). โ€ข Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). โ€ข Exposure to system administration tasks such as server configuration/maintenance. โ€ข Understanding of IIS or other web server configurations. โ€ข Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash. โ€ข Updates and patches: Performed routine updates, security patching, and system upgrades to ensure systems are secure and up to date. โ€ข Any of the following certifications: A+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Network+ CE, SSCP.
