Job description

Title: Weaver

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Department Supervisor and Plant Manager

Date: 8-25-2026

Summary/objective: 

The Weaver is responsible for operating and monitoring weaving machinery to produce high-quality woven materials in compliance with production standards.

Essential functions:

  • Understand the flow of work through all stations within the Weaving department including but not limited to loom operator, creel attendant, bobbin winder and inspection.
  • Properly identify, label and distribute the different materials used for production in the Weaving department.
  • Monitor multiple machines to ensure material is feeding properly and there are no gaps in production.
  • Identify any defects, imperfections or repairs that need further attention. 

Additional responsibilities:

  • Keep material flow ongoing, replacing creels and rewinding bobbins when applicable.
  • Maintain a clear and clean work area ensuring debris does not hinder production.
  • Communicate with a Weaver A and supervisor any issues with machine operation.
  • Understand safety requirements when operating machines and using tools.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and PPE.

  • Basic knowledge using measurements. 
  • Work well in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of safety requirements when using hand tools.
