Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Weaving Manager to lead the daily operations of a high-volume weaving department in a vertically integrated textile manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with air jet weaving and a strong working knowledge of warping and slashing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all day-to-day operations of the weaving department to ensure production schedules, quality standards, and efficiency goals are met.
  • Provide technical leadership for air jet weaving operations, including troubleshooting loom performance, fabric defects, and process optimization.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of upstream processes, including warping and slashing, to ensure consistent loom performance and fabric quality.
  • Lead supervisors, loom technicians, and production associates while promoting a culture of accountability and teamwork.
  • Monitor production metrics, efficiency, downtime, waste, and quality performance; implement corrective actions when needed.
  • Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Production Planning to maximize equipment uptime and throughput.
  • Investigate recurring production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste.
  • Train, mentor, and develop employees while identifying future leadership talent within the department.
  • Participate in budgeting, staffing, scheduling, and capital improvement projects as required.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in textile manufacturing, preferably within a weaving operation.
  • Strong hands-on experience with air jet weaving equipment.
  • Working knowledge of warping and slashing processes.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot weaving production issues and improve operational performance.
  • Experience leading teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
