Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with strong Wealth Management and Operations experience to drive product strategy, requirements, backlog management, and Agile delivery for wealth management platforms and business processes.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Wealth Management, Investment Management, Brokerage Operations, Portfolio Management, and Custodial Wealth Management platforms. The candidate must be able to work closely with business stakeholders, Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, Architects, and Development teams to define requirements and deliver business-focused solutions.

MANDATORY: Candidates must have hands-on experience with Custodial Wealth Management platforms such as LPL, Fidelity, Orion, or Charles Schwab.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Ownership & Agile Delivery

  • Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business priorities and customer needs.
  • Create detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and business requirements.
  • Prioritize features, enhancements, and defects based on business value, customer needs, operational priorities, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming/Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Collaborate closely with Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, Architects, Developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary decision-maker for product priorities, requirements, and feature decisions.
  • Translate complex business requirements into clear and actionable product requirements.
  • Manage product releases and coordinate delivery across cross-functional teams.
  • Track product progress, identify risks, and communicate status to key stakeholders.

Wealth Management Domain Responsibilities:

  • Drive solutions across key Wealth Management and Investment Management functions.
  • Support Portfolio Management and investment-related business processes.
  • Support Investment Advisory and Financial Planning capabilities.
  • Define and enhance Client Onboarding and Client Lifecycle Management processes.
  • Support Trading and Order Management workflows.
  • Drive requirements for Performance Reporting and investment analytics.
  • Support Client Reporting, Statements, and communications.
  • Work with Retirement Planning and retirement investment products.
  • Support Alternative Investments and related operational processes.
  • Define requirements for Asset Allocation and Portfolio Rebalancing.
  • Collaborate with operations and technology teams to improve wealth management processes and platforms.

MANDATORY CUSTODIAL WEALTH MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE:

  • Candidates must have hands-on experience working with Custodial Wealth Management platforms and processes.
  • Experience with one or more of the following platforms is mandatory:
    • LPL
    • Fidelity
    • Orion
    • Charles Schwab
  • Strong understanding of custody, brokerage, investment accounts, managed accounts, portfolio operations, and wealth management workflows.
  • Experience integrating or working with custodial platforms, financial data, account information, and investment operations is highly important.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.

Professional Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in the BFSI / Financial Services domain.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager.
  • Strong experience working with Wealth Management platforms and processes.
  • Strong experience working with business and technology teams in an Agile environment.
  • Proven experience managing product backlogs, requirements, and product roadmaps.
