These PHEs offer our clients high heat-transfer reliability, low capital investment and installation costs, and reduced maintenance, operating, wear, and corrosion costs.

Job Summary:

The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing on-site technical support, maintenance, and repair services for all makes and models of plate heat exchangers (PHE) and related equipment. This role requires excellent technical skills, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to work independently in diverse environments. The incumbent will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing plates and gaskets for all makes and models of plate heat exchangers (PHE)and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform onsite troubleshooting, diagnosis, installing, adjusting and repairing leaks, plates,and gaskets for all makes and models of plate heat exchangers (PHE), and other related equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, adjusting, pressure washing, dye testing, and gasketing plates to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Replace or repair defective parts, components, or wiring as needed to restore heating systems to proper working condition.
  • Test heating systems to ensure they meet performance standards and safety regulations.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to customers on how to operate and maintain their heat exchanger equipment effectively.
  • Respond to work order requests in a timely fashion; participate in on-call for after-hour service and holiday hours as required.
  • Proper management of non-hazardous and hazardous waste as needed according to training level.
  • Document all service and repair activities, including parts used, labor hours, and diagnostic findings, accurately and thoroughly.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair options, provide cost estimates, and answer any questions or concerns.
  • Adhere to company safety policies and procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment for self and others.
  • Stay knowledgeable of current trends, technologies, and best practices through ongoing training and professional development.
  • Travel as needed to support job requirements and fulfill project needs.
  • Administrative responsibilities including managing travel records
  • Timely record keeping and receipt management
  • Keep up to date on all assigned training.
  • Maintain valid Driver’s license and clean driving record. Passport may be needed.
  • OSHA 10 Certification and First Aid & CPR.
  • All other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong knowledge of heating system components, controls, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic/pneumatic tooling and related industry tools and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Must have basic aptitude and be comfortable with math and calculations.
  • Customer-focused mindset with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to various work sites in area of responsibility at any time.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible schedule to accommodate customer needs.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) regularly.
  • Fieldwork is a significant component of this role, often traveling using various methods of transportation.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.


Work Environment:

  • Primarily indoor shop environment with occasional outdoor work.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
