Tier4 Group is seeking an experienced Digital Accessibility Specialist to join a dynamic Digital Services team focused on creating accessible, inclusive, and user-friendly digital experiences. This role serves as the organization's subject matter expert for digital accessibility, partnering with stakeholders across business and technology teams to ensure websites, applications, and digital content meet accessibility standards and deliver an exceptional user experience for all users.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Accessibility Leadership

  • Serve as the organization's accessibility subject matter expert and trusted advisor.
  • Research and stay current on accessibility standards, regulations, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Promote accessibility best practices across the organization and foster a culture of inclusive design.
  • Develop accessibility resources, documentation, training materials, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Partner with business and technical teams to embed accessibility into digital products and services.

Accessibility Audits & Compliance

  • Lead accessibility evaluations of websites, applications, and digital content to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 A & AA standards.
  • Conduct manual and automated accessibility testing and provide actionable remediation guidance.
  • Document audit findings, prepare concise reports, and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve accessibility issues.
  • Maintain audit methodologies, testing plans, and reporting processes.
  • Track ongoing accessibility initiatives and compliance activities.

Standards, Governance & Best Practices

  • Support the development and enforcement of accessibility standards, policies, and governance processes.
  • Establish checkpoints and quality controls throughout the digital content and development lifecycle.
  • Partner with project teams to ensure accessibility requirements are incorporated into planning, design, development, testing, and maintenance efforts.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions that advance accessibility maturity.

Required Qualifications

Accessibility Expertise

  • Strong experience applying digital accessibility, usability, and user experience (UX) principles to web content, applications, and digital communications.
  • Deep understanding of WCAG 2.1 A & AA standards and accessibility compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of accessibility-related regulations and standards, including:
    • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
    • Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
    • Plain Language requirements

Accessibility Testing Experience

Hands-on experience performing accessibility audits using tools such as:
