Job description

At Regions Hospital, you'll do more than perform echocardiograms-you'll be an essential part of a highly skilled cardiovascular team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. Every day, you'll work alongside experienced cardiologists, nurses, and healthcare professionals who value collaboration, clinical excellence, and continuous learning. Cardiac Sonographers will perform echocardiographic procedures on adult patients in the Cardiology Noninvasive Laboratory including M-Mode echocardiography, Two-Dimensional echocardiography, contrast echocardiography, pulsed, continuous wave, and color flow doppler echocardiography, stress echocardiography, dobutamine echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography and to perform related duties as assigned. This position supports and participates in achieving departmental goals.

Work Schedule: Per Diem, as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Registration or registry eligible as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or RCS must be obtained within six months of hire.
  • Will be required to become certified in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited program in echocardiography or a bachelor's degree in life science is preferred.
