Job description

What You'll Do

You will be responsible for allocating orders, releasing work to the warehouse floor, balancing workflow, and ensuring inbound and outbound truck turn times meet acceptable standards. You will resolve order product shortages, manage order cuts, and communicate with customers while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Occasional travel by automobile and airplane may be required for business purposes.

Essential Functions

  • Allocate orders and release work to the warehouse floor to balance workflow and optimize productivity.
  • Resolve order product shortages and manage order cuts while communicating updates to customers.
  • Prioritize tasks for Lift Truck Operators and Dock Supervisors to ensure efficient operations.
  • Ensure dock office utilizes inbound and outbound dock optimization functionality for each receipt and order.
  • Run labor reports and review with Dock Supervisors and Office Manager to monitor performance.
  • Review and update base priorities, work zone assignments, product code velocity zones, and pick locations in collaboration with Operations Manager.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement projects and safety programs and troubleshoot systems issues as needed.
  • Other essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.

What Experience and Education You Need

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred or minimum 1 year of warehouse operations experience required.
  • Proficiency with basic PC software and Americold systems required.
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Ability to train users on relevant systems and troubleshoot system problems required.

The Company's good-faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting for this position is $18.00 - $24.00 hourly.
