STRUCTURAL offers a wide range of specialty repair and maintenance services and is the largest specialty contractor for concrete repair in the United States, with roughly 4,500 employees working from locations nationwide and in select international markets.We are currently recruiting for a Director of Construction to be based out of our Denver, CO office and provide construction leadership across the Intermountain region. As a Director of Construction based in Denver, you will be responsible for providing high level field management to Construction Managers as well as our open-shop crews in Texas, Colorado, and Arizona. Our projects typically consist of concrete repair, historical preservation, cathodic protection, waterproofing, and structural strengthening in commercial settings.As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for:* Oversee all Construction Managers across the branch/region (offices in Texas, Colorado, and Arizona)* Working closely with the Branch Manager and Division Managers and/or Directors* Overseeing branch and divisional field operations* Understands the manpower needs of Denver branch and business line to level resources* Oversee all hiring and employment decisions across the branch for field teams and field management* Overall development of the CMD program candidates within the branch* Ensure appropriate and necessary training courses are budgeted and completed for QA/QC based items and technical equipment training* Communicates and ensures implementation and alignment on any new safety endeavors/policies and procedures* Engagement and awareness of all potential projects for the Denver branch and involved in the client communication to help close sales as needed* Reviews and approves all major equipment purchases for the branch or business line to ensure consistency* Assisting project teams in the development of monthly progress reports, monthly payment applications, anticipated cost reports, and other financial cost reports* Completing all essential paperwork in a clear and accurate manner* Interviewing and hiring new field employees* Providing leadership to STRUCTURALโ€™s Safety 24/7 cultureCandidates who meet the following criteria may be considered for this exciting position:* Excellent written and verbal English communication and technical writing* Strong hands-on construction knowledge & drawn towards technical understanding of projects* Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent in Construction Management or related field OR significant relevant work experience in place of degree will be considered* 15+ years of experience in general construction with at least 5 of those years in a field management role at a Superintendent level or above or a bachelorโ€™s degree with related 8+ years of experience* Prior experience in general repair type projects include concrete repair, structural strengthening, waterproofing, corrosion control, faรงade restoration, etc.* Previous experience running multiple projects simultaneously (depending on size/complexity)* Proven ability to manage various levels of field managers while overseeing divisional field operations* Advanced proficiency to read, interpret and execute construction drawings and contract specifications.
