Salary: $22.80 - $25.80/hour ($16.80/hour + tips, which average an additional $6-$9/hour)


FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt


Schedule: This is a seasonal position with part-time hours - Shifts take place Monday - Friday with the position set to end early January. 


Requirements: Current Oregon Food Handler's card Current OLCC Permit


Location & Transportation: Elephants at South Waterfront is located at ?2730 S Moody Avenue, Portland, OR 97201 

This locations is on the Max line and bus lines. There is no employee parking- Public Transit is suggested.

What You'll Do

  • Provide exemplary customer service: task pivot and converse with customers
  • Engage in active selling
  • Sale and promotion of products; Help direct customers around the store and menu
  • Maintain excellent product knowledge
  • Produce all food and beverage items precisely according to Elephant's recipes
  • Proper use equipment as specified by Manager and/or trainer
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Cross-train in various FOH roles
  • Reinforce service, sanitation, and food safety standards
  • Monitor workflow and pace during peak hours
  • Address guest concerns with professionalism and urgency

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience - food service or hospitality experience highly preferred
  • Barista experience preferred but not required
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and team development
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Ability to stay composed and solution-oriented under pressure
  • High standards for cleanliness, safety, and operational excellence
  • Reliability, accountability, and a collaborative mindset
