Job description

The Water Technician is responsible for supporting daily irrigation and water system operations within the cultivation facility. This role ensures plants receive proper watering according to cultivation schedules while maintaining irrigation equipment, monitoring water distribution systems, and assisting with nutrient mixing and system maintenance. The Water Technician works closely with the cultivation and environmental teams to ensure optimal plant health and system efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain irrigation systems throughout the cultivation facility
  • Execute daily watering schedules according to cultivation SOPs
  • Assist with nutrient mixing, dosing, and monitoring irrigation lines
  • Monitor water pressure, flow rates, and system performance
  • Inspect irrigation lines, emitters, pumps, and filters for clogs or malfunctions
  • Flush and clean irrigation systems as needed
  • Track watering schedules and maintain accurate logs of irrigation activities
  • Assist with reservoir management and nutrient tank maintenance
  • Report irrigation issues, leaks, or system failures to management
  • Support cultivation teams with general plant care tasks when needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with safety and compliance standards
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in irrigation, agriculture, cultivation, greenhouse operations, or similar environment preferred
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems, pumps, plumbing, or fertigation systems a plus
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and cultivation SOPs
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced agricultural environment
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working in greenhouse conditions including humidity and varying temperatures
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and move throughout large cultivation spaces
Compliance Requirements
  • Must be eligible to work in the cannabis industry per state regulations
  • Must follow all facility safety and compliance protocols
